The Nature of Love
It Never Fails
This passage from 1 Corinthians chapter 13 speaks volumes and doesn’t require any additional comments from me.
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am only like sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but I do not have love; I am NOTHING…… If I give all I possess to the poor, and surrender my body to martyrdom, but I do not have love, I gain NOTHING.
Love is patient, Iove is kind. It does not envy; it is not a braggart; it is not self-inflated with its own importance. It is not rude; it is not selfish; it is not easily angered; and it certainly does not store up the memories of any wrongs it has received. It does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It can endure ANYTHING. It is completely trusting. It never ceases to hope. It bears everything with triumphant fortitude.
LOVE NEVER FAILS!!! Let’s practice it!!!
