FAMILY MINISTRY
At Spirit of Joy, we believe church is more than programs and events—it’s family. Our Family Ministry is where all of our ministries come together as one. It’s a time to share ideas, plan ahead for the year, and support each other so that everything we do flows in unity. Think of it as the heartbeat of SOJ: the place where connections are strengthened, schedules come together, and every part of our church family moves forward with joy and purpose.
We meet on the first Sunday of every month to touch base, celebrate progress, and keep all of our projects moving in harmony. It’s about working together, praying together, and growing together—because when every ministry beats in rhythm, our whole church family thrives.

GOD'S WORK OUR HANDS
On September 7, 2025, Spirit of Joy joined congregations across the country for God’s Work. Our Hands. Together, 37 volunteers served at the Fairways Senior Community with yard work, cleanup, and gravel spreading, while another team wrote heartfelt letters to U.S. veterans.
Popsicles, laughter, and fellowship made the day memorable — a true witness of being the hands and feet of Christ in our neighborhood.
FALL FESTIVAL
Spirit of Joy has been lighting up the Halloween season with our Truck or Treat Fest—a night where families come together for food, fun, and fall festivities. Kids (and adults!) have enjoyed trunk-or-treating, costume contests, inflatables, games, dancing, and delicious food from a variety of food trucks—from hotdogs and pizza to arepas and Mr. Softee! 🍕🍦
This event has become a beloved tradition, giving our community a safe, exciting way to celebrate the season while making lasting memories. We’re always looking for Trunk Captains to help Laura Aenlle organize and make each year even better—so if you love seeing kids’ faces light up, we’d love your help!
