A Man Unlike any Other

A Man Unlike Any Other

“Never man spoke like this Man!” John7:46

“The Jews marveled, saying, how is it that this Man knows Letters, although He never studied.” John 7:15

“ …The people were astonished at His doctrine; for He taught them as One having authority, and not as the scribes.” Matthew 7:28-29

There was, and is, so much about Jesus that is irresistible. Imagine that the chief priests and Pharisees sent officers to arrest Jesus, and they returned without Him! – Not because they couldn’t find Him. When asked why they did not carry out the assigned duty, they could only respond: “Never Man spoke like this Man!” Instead of arresting Jesus, they listened to His teaching and then returned with their impressions of Him. (They could have lost their jobs or more)

So what is your impression of Jesus? Once Jesus asked His disciples: “Whom do men say that I the Son of Man am?” He wanted them to say what people in general thought of Him, of His identity. Then Jesus wanted His disciples to verbalize what they thought, so He asked: “But whom do you say that I am?” Jesus asked these questions not because He did not already know the answers, but He wanted His disciples to focus on the question and the answer.

This question is of such significance for life here, and also hereafter, that it must be asked and answered by everyone, by EVERYONE - Consciously or unconsciously.

What do you think of Jesus, and what is your response to Him? Al Jones
