LETTER FROM LEADERSHIP COUNCIL PRESIDENT
Fellow Spirit of Joy Member,
Once again we are kicking off our annual stewardship drive. As we continue to struggle with the effects of the Covid pandemic, it is important to reaffirm our commitment to Spirit of Joy and the work that we do here.
This year we are confronted with two financial challenges: our on-going budget deficit and the replacement of failed A/C units. The stewardship drive addresses the budgetary shortfall. However, we also need to fund the A/C replacement at the same time.
Please consider increasing your pledge by even a modest amount. Any increase will help close our budget gap. At the same time, an additional gift for the Capital Campaign is needed. Our congregational goal is $50,000. A huge number, but collectively a sum we can achieve. Please prayerfully consider what you would be able to contribute toward new A/C units. As strange as it may sound now, we have only six months before the summer heat begins again. We must have the new units in place before that occurs.
