My Walking Plan
“…Even so, we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4
Here are some suggestions for the Walk :-
Focus on Christ as your Leader- He knows the Way. Imitate Him and obey His teachings.
Keep in close touch through prayer - anywhere, anytime, often. The Holy Spirit is available to help you.
Get the necessary light for the Walk: “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105. So know the Word.
“Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” Practice doing what you learn from the Word. James1:22
Watch what you say! James describes the tongue as “a fire, an unruly evil” Avoid slander, cursing, repeating smutty jokes, stirring up strife, creating hatred, tearing others down etc. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit.
Practice living like a saint: … “all uncleanness, covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.” Ephesians5:3
Read Ephesians 4&5. You are told what to do, and what not to do.
Read Colossians 3. Paul tells you what to stop doing and what to start doing.
Be confident! God says He will never leave you.
Every day, say like St. Paul: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
